"Memory Fox" replaces the previous "AFOM "2.0
for Mozilla FireFox Only
Requirements: Firefox 3.*.* support under WinXP, VISTA operating systems.
Note: "Memory Fox" is ( Windows ) only add-on
"Memory Fox", focuses on two ( 2 ) types of memory usage and with flushing for memory recovery. When resource requirements ( Stack and Heap ) have been reached, according to the user's preset option settings, the memory will be flushed and recovered from Fragmented Orphaned ram memories.
Below are the two types supported for recovery.
1. Working Set: The set of memory pages currently visible to the process and is [ Shareable ] between other processess.
2. Private Working Set: The set of memory pages currently visible to the process and is [ Non Sharable ] between other processes.
Note 1: Commit Memory: The amount of virtual memory that is reserved for use by a process. Virtual pages of memory within this Commit Memory will be brought into primary RAM due to process demand. Commit Memory will change due to Files Open/Closed respectfully.
Note 2: "Memory Fox" has very low and minimum ( CPU ) Process duration requirement within Firefox when memory recovery action is performed.
If you're using "AFOM Plus 4.4" or "AFOM 2.0" add-ons you must uninstall prior to installing "Memory Fox".
To successfully install "Memory Fox", you must from the Tools Menu Deactivate "AFOM Plus 4.4" or "AFOM 2.0" within Firefox prior to uninstalling.
You can activate "Memory Fox" from the Tools Menu or from Status Bar that contains an icon for "Memory Fox".
Note: User may need to restart Firefox after download of "Memory Fox" so as presets are acknowledged.
Added sidebar containing Windows "Task Manager".
1. Sidebar- Activation combined keys [ Ctrl + Shift + A ].
or
2. Sidebar- Activation from the "Memory Fox" statusbaricon by [ Right-Mouse Click ].
Requirements: You must activate "Memory Fox" and be sure to click on browser to gain focus for keys activation of Sidebar. You can resize the sidebar to full screen if you'd prefer. The Task Manager has it's own resizer bar. Resizing the Firefox sidebar will always resize the Task Manager automatically.
